Tribute
It is with great, heartfelt sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Leslie Charles Hookey, in BC (formerly of Bell Island, NL), surrounded by his loving family on April 20th, 2016, at the age of 66.
Leaving to mourn his loving wife Catherine, children Lawrence, Juanita, Christina, Padraig & step-daughter Margaret, eight grandchildren, brothers Kenneth, Keith & Paul, sister Kathi, as well as many more relatives & close friends. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held Monday, July 4th, 2016 at 2:00 pm on Bell Island, NL at the St Cyprian & St Mary's Anglican Church with burial & reception to follow.

God looked around His garden
And found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face.
He put His arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb,
So He closed your weary eyelids
And whispered “Peace be thine.”
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn't go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
