PERAGINE, Sandra (Sandy)
May 13, 1952 – December 14, 2025
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Sandra (Sandy) Peragine (Cannon). With her husband and children by her side, never alone, until her last breath. Sandy was born and raised in North Vancouver in a house at the bottom of 19th Hill St. Many adventures and memories were created there with her mom and dad, Helen and Lloyd, along with her 11 siblings.
When Sandy was just a young teenager, she met the love of her life, Ralph, they married soon after and started a family of their own. They settled in a home in Maple Ridge where they raised their six children. Deanna (Cary), Lena (Braiden), Ralph, Rocco (Kristina), David (Sandy) and Joey. They were known as The Peragines.
The home was filled with laughter, love, and chaos thrown into the mix of Sandy’s homemade chocolate chip cookies, midnight pool dipping, camping trips, ceramics and dough dolls.
Throughout their 55-year marriage, Sandy and Ralph spent many days side by side looking out their large window, watching the park across the street while their children grew up. Sandy would be crocheting or weaving a dream catcher and sometimes Sandy and Ralph would sip on homemade wine while taking in a hockey game, or watching an old favorite movie or a game show.
Sandy cherished her hour-long phone calls with her sister, Bev. Anyone nearby could hear the pair laughing throughout the conversation. Grown kids and grand-kids would pop by to say hello. Ralph would take Sandy for long drives and they found a special spot at a local lake where they would go often. They would sometimes see turtles getting some sun and eagles perched in their nests feeding their babies. Sandy also loved to have a night out at the casino.
Sandy was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She is already dearly missed.
A celebration of Sandy’s life will be planned for the immediate family at a future date.
