Tribute

Sally May Elizabeth Schnee passed away peacefully on March 28, 2026 at Langley Memorial Hospital after a short illness.  She had many visitors while in the hospital and the nurses commented that she was most popular patient on the ward.  3 of her children, and a few  grandchildren were at her side as she passed.

She is predeceased by her Husband A. Neil Schnee in 2013, her brother Don Murray in 2022 and his wife Cecile Murray in 2024.

She is survived by her brother Bill Murray (wife Janice), her sister Judi Brammer (nee Murray) and brother Gary Murray.   Her children Steven Dunsmuir, Susan Brogan (nee dunsmuir), Mike Dunsmuir (wife Rita), Katherine Horth (nee Dunsmuir), and Cassidy Schnee. As well as 13 grandchildren and 8 great- grandchildren, and many other nieces, nephews, longtime friends and spouses of family members.

Sally loved watching Blue Jays baseball and was an avid fan.  She loved to watch the games on TV. She even watched the season opener on her tablet with granddaughters  Jennifer and Samantha by her side. She gave a big smile when they won.   Sally passed away before the end of the second game. The Blue Jays were losing and it was not looking good.  Jennifer and Samantha were there with her once more, and we all stayed in the room with Sally until the game ended.  The Blue Jays came back and won the game.  We are sure that Sally must have intervened as she left us to give the team a boost.

Sally did not want a funeral and directed that she be cremated. The family will hold a Celebration Of Life for her in early May. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of choice.  Sally supported Cancer Research, Red Cross and the MS Society.
