Rosalina Alexander
March 13, 1930 - November 22, 2025
Tribute
It is with deep sorrow that the family of Rosalina Alexander announces her passing on November 22, 2025. After enjoying her dinner, she went to bed and passed away peacefully in her sleep a few hours later. It was sudden, but gentle.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Mary‑Jane and Christopher, her son‑in‑law John, and her four grandchildren — Alex, Emma, Monica, and Louis. She is also survived by her siblings Anne, Marlo, Anita, and Linda, along with many nieces and nephews who cherished her dearly.
Rosalina lived a rich and remarkable life, spending time in several countries before settling in Canada 23 years ago to be close to her daughter and family. She had an endless curiosity and a true thirst for knowledge. She was active in her church community, the local senior centre, and her writing group. Above all, she loved connecting with people and building lasting friendships. Wherever she went, laughter and warmth followed.
She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. Her spirit lives on in the many lives she touched.
A Memorial Mass will be held on January 10 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Parish.

Relation: Good friend and Writing Club Facilitator
Rosa inspired many of us in the Newton Seniors’ Centre’s Writing Club. She was always very warm and welcoming to new members. Rosa frequently made notes as she listened to our shared stories, always taking note of key words new to her. She was a “ lifelong learner”, a quality we all admired. Rosa had a way of making life more fun. I caught her at the centre playing “ Rock, Paper Scissors” with a fellow elderly member. They looked like a couple of kids determined to win the game. Delightful! Rosa treasured making friendships and pulling people together ; finding social events to create and share. We admired dear Rosa’s resiliency and her quest to explore, “ What is Love”? This dear soul will be remembered and frequently missed. We have been blessed with her presence.
