Ronald Stobbart
August 2, 1926 - October 10, 2018
Tribute
Ron passed away quietly and peacefully, on Wednesday, October 10th, 2018, surrounded
by family. He leaves behind his loving wife of 73 years, Marguerite, whom he fondly
called Peggy; Daughter Diane and family Leah (Bruce) and great grandchild Piper; Son
Rick (Di) and family Ken (Joanne) and Randy, great grandchildren Daniel (Tasha) and
Kelsey. Ron was predeceased by his brothers Tony, Roy, and his Grandson Glenn.
A Pioneer in his own right. A proud, hardworking, loving husband and father. His keen
sense of humour and sharp wit kept you smiling. Ron had a generous heart and was
always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He loved hunting, fishing,
camping and tearing up the dance floor to his favourite Country tunes. He was a logger
at heart but capable of building anything and everything from a fishing boat to a house
for his wife and family. He will be sadly missed but remembered with love, always.
His Memorial gathering will be held in the Deroche Hall (which he
helped build) on November 3, 2018, between 2 pm and 4 pm.

So sorry for your loss. “Uncle” Ronnie and “Auntie” Marguerite’s Place was always a favourite place to go and visit with Sheila. We were always welcome for tea and to just talk with Uncle Ronnie or run around in the yard. He will be missed terribly. Deroche will just not seem the same now.
