It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Nicole Leann Belland, nee Tinsley, on June 24, 2022. Survived by her husband Marc, children Danica and Junior, mother Alison, sisters Michelle (Jordan and Jayce) and Amanda (Justin) and predeceased by her father Bob and father-in-law Lory. Nicole was born on July 24, 1986, and was raised in Burnaby with her extended family, making many memories up on Capitol Hill. Nicole met Marc after high
school and with their children, made North Delta their home for the last 12 years. Nicole was a
caring and generous person who loved her people like crazy. She was not shy, always had a
story to tell and laughed often. Nicole will be deeply missed by her numerous aunts, uncles,
cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, close friends who were family, and everyone else who were lucky enough to spend time with her. Please join the family to celebrate Nicole on
July 24, 2022, from 1pm- 4pm at Bakerview Crematorium and Celebration Center, 34863
Cemetery Ave, Mission. Nicole’s favourite saying was “Ohana”, which means family. Family
means nobody gets left behind or forgotten. That’s what everyone was to Nicole, and we will never forget her. Be free now, Little One. We will love you forever..

Short of words. Can’t believe you are gone. Pray for comfort for your children, husband and family. Far away in Nigeria but will endeavor to be at your celebration of life. Ah, Nicole, you were a good soul, genuine, compassionate and caring. Life!

Nicole and I met at Stride Community School at a very young age. We became very close friends and were always at one another’s house hanging out, listening to music and eating everything from the fridge. Sorry for eating all your peanut butter Michelle and Amanda! We became even closer in high school – I loved my friendship with Nicole because she was always unapologetically herself, hilarious and she always had my back. After I moved away we lost touch, but I thankfully reconnected with her last summer. I am so thankful to have had that afternoon with her reminiscing, laughing and crying. One thing’s for sure, her children were her biggest pride – she couldn’t stop sharing photos of them with me. I’m going to miss her so very much and my heart goes out to her entire family and extended family. I love you so much Nicole and I’ll hold you in my heart always.
