Neil Ferch
November 8, 1940 - February 22, 2026
Tribute
Neil was born in Kipling, Sask the only son of Orval and Pat Ferch. All his school years were in Grenfell, Sask. After a few odd jobs in Regina that didn’t pay very well and without much future he enrolled in a 3 years psychiatric nursing program in Weybern, Sk and graduated with honours and the valedictorian of his class. During this time he met his future wife Ev (Evelyn). An opportunity arose for a move to BC against the anguish of parents, having a young family and no support to fall back on. Working for 6 months at Riverview another opportunity came that became his long life career with the public service.
Neil enjoyed camping, back country hiking and fishing. With the family grown, took up golfing, curling and a hobby building oodles and oodles of bird houses.
Predeceased by his parents Orval and Pat, and sister Katherine. Survived by his loving wife Ev, sons Ian (Jade) and Leslie (Diane) and grandchildren Brian, Paul and Dana and sister Janice.
No service by his request.
