Margaret Carol Anderson

December 23, 1937 - February 4, 2019

Tribute

With heartbreak and great sorrow, we announce the passing of Margaret Carol (Cobb) Anderson.  A Loving Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt, and Nain. Carol passed peacefully on Monday Feb 4th, 2019 at the age of 81, in Mission, BC

Carol was born in Saskatoon Sask. in December of 1937. At a young age her family moved to West Vancouver, where she enjoyed many adventures at Hollyburn and Ambleside beach. Her favorite pass times were spent at the barn riding her horse or singing in church.

In November 1957 she met her beloved husband Brian. They met at a youth group service being held at her parent’s house. She knew that night, he was the one. Four months later they were engaged, and were married August 23, 1958. They bought their first home a block away from where she grew up. Shortly afterwards they started their family.

First born was Brian Jr. in 1960, followed by two daughters. Roberta in 1961 and Katherine in 1965.

The family then moved up to Prince George in 1966, where they lived for eight years.

In 1974, they moved their family back to the Lower Mainland residing in North Delta.  They welcomed another daughter in 1976, Tanya.  By the 1980’s Carol and Brian opened up their home and hearts to many foster children. Two still in their care to this day, Bobby and Sandra.

During these years in North Delta, Carol loved to cook for friends and family. Especially during the holidays. For many years she organized and prepared Picnics for The BC Foster Parents Association. The Anderson house was always full of people, love and acceptance.

She loved painting, camping, traveling to Palm Springs and going on numerous cruises with dear friends, and family. She was famous for her grocery shopping skills, Milk consumption, packed fridges, freezers, and food shelves.

After more than 40 years, they left Delta in 2012 and moved to the town of Mission BC There she enjoyed raising Chickens, her yard, grandchildren, and home.

Carol was the Matriarch of the family. She showed unwavering love for her husband, family, and friends. She spent her whole life putting others before herself. Preaching to us all to “Rise Above” and to “Forgive Others” if they did you wrong.  Even in her last month here, she was still giving and showing kindness to others.

The family wishes to extend gratitude to the Christine Morrison Hospice in Mission BC.  The team there cared for not only Carol, but helped her family.  We are forever grateful!

In lieu of flowers we ask you to please make a donation to the Christine Morrison Hospice in Mission BC

You are so deeply missed and will be in our hearts forever!
