Edward Lee Helgeson
May 16, 1943 – November 10, 2018
It is with great sorrow that the family of Lee Helgeson announces his peaceful passing on Saturday, November 10, 2018, at the Christine Morrison Hospice in Mission, BC. Lee was born May 16, 1943, in Nelson, BC. Lee was raised in Peace River, Alberta and spent many years in Prince George before settling in Abbotsford, BC. Lee worked most of his life as a surveyor on projects throughout BC and Alberta as well as overseas.
Lee had a passion for animals and over the years he loved and cared for a variety of cats, dogs and birds.
Lee is survived by his brothers Gordon (Judy), Jim (Judy), and his sister Peggy (Greg) as well as his many nieces and nephews. Lee was predeceased by his wife, Rayne, his parents, Albert and Rita and brothers, Don and Ray.
The Helgeson clan would like to thank their family and friends for the love and support they have provided during Lee’s illness and to recognize the care and kindness shown to Lee by his close friends Janine, Susan, Laurie, and Dr. Katz Piller among others.
There will be no service at Lee’s request. Donations to the SPCA in Lee’s name would be gratefully accepted. Condolences and memories can be shared at www.forevermissed.com/lee-helgeson.
