Lawrence Leonard William Brown born August 28th, 1967, entered into rest, March 14th, 2014 in Vancouver BC.

He was a gentle, soft-hearted person with incredible wit that made him endearing to many.

He loved traveling and adventure, such as bungee jumping and snorkeling. He also loved flowers, and strolling through gardens was one of his favorite past times.

He was an assiduous worker who strove for perfection, earning respect and admiration from his peers.

He is survived by Johanna (Spouse), Len (Father), and Audrey (Mother).

My deepest sympathies to Lawrence’s family. We chatted about travelling lots when we spoke. Lawrence helped me a ton – via long distance, with various work related projects! He was kind, and always took the time to help even when he was swamped himself. He had quit wit, and could always make you laugh, even in the most stressful of situations. He was a great asset to the government as a whole, and his expertise and helping spirit is a great loss for all. Our deepest sympathies to Johanna and his whole family.

I am forever grateful for what Lawrence did for me. He got me started in the IT world with the Ministry of Attorney General back in the late nineties. He took me under his wing and taught me the ins and outs of the business. We has so many laughs on so many road trips and he’ll always be a part of me. I was fortunate to know and be a small part Johanna and Lawrence’s life together. We had fun working together and I even cam away with the best breakfast recipe ever! There were days when Lawrence, so dedicated and focused on his work would get a touch moody, but I could always make him laugh, sometimes to the point where I’d have him crying he’d be laughing so hard. There are few people I respect more. And though we didn’t see each other often as the years have passed, when ever we did or talked it was if we simply left off from the time before. I will miss my friend Lawrence and will think of him always. Here’s to the memories of sitting in a bright red car on the side of a very brown mountain, thinking to ourselves, nobody has a clue. Enjoy a cheeseburger and chocolate on the other side for me buddy! Love ya man.

I was truly saddened to hear about Lawrence. It was always such a comfort knowing that he was just a few floors up. I know that I was not suppose to contact him directly for assistance but whenever I was truly desperate I would do just that. No matter what Lawrence was doing he would always make time to solve my crisis and somehow make me feel so welcome, even though I had to have been an imposition on his very busy day. He regularly found the humour in the midst of my melt downs. I would always leave his office smiling. I’m going to miss him very, very much. My thoughts and condolences to his family.
