WILDMAN, John Douglas

 October 14, 1955- June 3, 2020

 John passed away suddenly on June 3rd, 2020 at the age of 64, doing one of the activities he enjoyed most, dirt biking with friends at Vedder Mountain, Chilliwack.  John was a loving, caring, kind and generous man who was always willing to give of his time and talents to anyone in need.  John  was an equally loving  husband and father. He was part owner of the family business, Cariboo Motorcycles, in Port Moody, where he worked for 40 years. He also raced at Westwood in the 1980’s (winning the Canadian Sidecar Championship with his sidecar partner Rick Davison in 1985) as well as  competing in motocross and trials riding.  John was a very skilled motorcyclist and  maintained a keen interest and enjoyment of the sport throughout his life.  John  will be forever lovingly remembered by his wife of 44 years, Helen, and their sons, Matthew (Kate) and David (Sarah), parents David and Patricia Wildman, brother Ashley Wildman and a larger extended family. We are all completely  heartbroken.  A small private family funeral will be held at this time, and a celebration of John’s life will be held at a later date, to include all his friends in the motorcycling, soccer and greater community, and to share fond memories of John, once the pandemic restrictions are lifted.
