Tribute

It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Joanne Logie on September 2, 2019. Joanne was born in Southey Saskatchewan Dec 03, 1945 and passed away in Delta BC at the age of 73 after a battle with cancer.  She is survived by her husband Ian; Son Scott (his wife Joy and children Hannah and Jonah) of Pitt Meadows, BC; daughter Meghan Golding (and her husband Phil) of Black Creek, BC; and Sister Janet (and her husband Dale) of Regina, Sask. Predeceased by her father George Stewart;  her mother Alice Stewart and grandson Seth Logie

Joanne was a loving wife, mother and grand mother, a pharmacist, a curler, who loved gardening and who enjoyed spending time with family and her many friends.  She will be dearly missed.

We wish to thank the staff at the Irene Thomas Hospice in Ladner for their compassion and care for Joanne while she was in residence.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests consideration be given to a donation to the Irene Thomas Hospice to support their continued high quality of care for patients and their families.

Ian & family, I was very shocked to hear of Joanne’s illness and passing. She was such an enthusiast person going back to our Pharmacy college days, and then she seemed much the same when I worked with her and others in helping organizing the Pharmacy Class 50 Year Reunion last year. I want to extend my condolences to you, your son & daughter and their families, I know she will be missed very much by them.

Dear Ian,
I feel a profound sadness for you and your family! Joanne was such a special person and she will leave a void in the lives of her family and friends. As you know, we were roommates in 1967-68 and have kept in touch through the years. I appreciated Joanne’s joie de vie, her ready laugh, her generosity and her love of her family. Thank you for keeping in touch with me through Carol O’Bryne. I send my heartfelt sympathy and love to you and your family!

I’m sorry to hear of Joanne’s passing. In my time at U. of Sask., I remember her as always being cheerful and enthusiastic – a real asset to the class. My condolences to her family and those who were close to her.

Ian, Scott and Meghan
My heart goes out to you with my deepest sympathies. Joanne was a dear friend and I will miss her. She was our Pharmacy Social Director even up to our Class of ’68 Pharmacy Reunion last year! I shall always remember her laugh and her ability to get all of us out to every pharmacy social event. If there is a blessing, Joanne did not suffer and lived life to the fullest right up until this year. I shall cherish all the precious memories I have of our times together and phone calls. I will miss her Christmas letters that sometimes arrived in July! Just wrap yourselves in all the loving memories you have of Joanne and may they bring you comfort now and in the years to come. She always lived life to the fullest.
