Gudrun Hanne Berta Foerstner nee Koeble
Dec 29, 1934 to October 28, 2025
Born in Stuttgart, Baden-Wurttemberg Germany.
Became a Canadian Citizen in 1956.
Passed away while living in Agassiz.
Gudrun is predeceased by her son-in-law, Steve and survived by her children; Monique (Chris, Steve), Cora (Jim), Tolly (Lisa), and Nisha as well as her 6 grandchildren; Alyssa (Andrew), Amanda, Tyler, Tiffany, Dillon (Jenna) and Sebastian and 4 great grandchildren: Amelia, Olita, Isla and Arlen.
Once you met Gudrun, you never forgot her. Gudrun was known for her colourful fashion sense and eye-catching jewellery.
Gudrun loved academia and completed her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Languages in her late 50’s graduating summa cum laude. She was a member of the Abbotsford/Mission Probus Club as well as an avid bridge player.
She loved a good argument and would debate anything from politics to chaos theory. Languages, wine and food fueled her soul. She had a zest for life, was always willing to try something new and wasn’t afraid to tell you when she didn’t like it.
She will be keenly missed by family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at:
