Gloria Briscoe, loving spouse and mother. A gentle, kind, and happy soul. Passed away in her sleep Thursday morning August 24, 2017 at 83 years of age. Born in North Bay, Ontario, lived in Ottawa, Cheltenham England, Brockville, North Bay, Owen Sound, Surrey, Chilliwack, Tumbler Ridge, and Mission. She will be missed by all who knew her. Gloria is predeceased by her spouse of 49 years, Thomas E. R. Briscoe. Gloria is survived by sons Peter and David Briscoe; sister Carol; and brother Billy. Gloria was a proud supporter and canvasser for United Way, Heart & Stroke Foundation, Cancer, and Autism. Burial to be 10:00 am September 6, 2017 at Hatzic Cemetery 34867 Cemetery Ave. Mission, BC. Flowers to be sent to Bakerview Crematorium 34863 Cemetery Ave. Mission, BC. Donations may be made to Autism BC

Such a beautiful soul, such a generous, loving woman, with limitless kindness and a truly glorious spirit … Aunty Babs’ caring ways and her intelligent, discerning mind absolutely captivated my own heart and mind whenever she and Uncle Tom and David would visit … How blessed were we to claim her as our Aunty, this beautiful woman who had the gift of letting each of us feel uniquely special to her … I was so deeply saddened to learn of her passing, and your loss, Peter and David.
