The community has lost a cheerful, loving person, March 21, 2019.
Gerald Rutherford Hall (Gerry), born Dec. 5, 1938, in Vancouver, B. C., to parents John Rutherford & Myrtle Hall, passed into God’s arms.
While childhood was in Woodfibre, where his father worked for B.C. Pulp & Paper, he later, attended Dunbar’s Lord Byng High School, before pursuing a career in sales.
His joys in retired life included playing cribbage, scrabble, lawn bowling, telling jokes, family visits to Alberta & Nova Scotia, chatting with all in his midst. Organizing Jazz Vespers at Northwood United Church, Surrey, fulfilled his passion for his love of music.
Mourned by his beloved wife, Audrey; daughters, Andrea May, Alison Pickrell (Alan); & son, Graham (Shelley); Grandchildren: Martina, Cameron, Ryan, Chelsey and Sterling.
Sister in law, Janet Burland (Norm), Georgetown, Ontario; brother in law, Jim Aitken (Kathy) Bedford, Nova Scotia and special cousins, Dorothy and Barbara Aitken, N.S.; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends in British Columbia, Alberta and in Eastern Canada.
A Celebration of Life will be on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 2:00 pm. Northwood United Church, Surrey, B. C. Rev. Scott Turnbrook officiating.
Anyone wishing to make a donation honouring Gerry’s memory is encouraged to consider Northwood U.C. Memorial Fund.

RIP Gerry Hall. Condolences to Audrey and family. Gerry really loved Jazz Vespers at Northwood and before he became very ill he would be up there dancing and having the time of his life. I hope he is dancing away to some jazz music right now up in heaven!
