Frederick Malara

September 4, 1950 - July 14, 2026

Tribute

Frederick James Malara passed away July 14th 2026. He was born 1950 September 4th in Toronto, Canada to parents Jan and Anna Malara who originally immigrated from Poland. Fred was proud to be Canadian but also cherished his Polish background.

For the past 25 years, Fred built a life with his wife, Janine McKamey. Together, they shared stability, companionship, many memories, and the simple joys of everyday life. They especially looked forward to their yearly trips to Mexico where they met up with their friends from all over Canada and sometimes brought along Janine’s daughter Ashley. Their years spent together were an important and cherished part of his story.

Fred loved taking his family and mother on trips to Florida. Though he spent years apart from his children, he and his daughter Christina reconnected during the last year of his life, sharing meaningful time together and finding a sense of closeness that had long been missing. That time brought honesty, healing, and moments of genuine comfort.

Fred is survived by his wife Janine McKamey, daughter Christina, son Frederick Malara and four granddaughters. He is also remembered by extended family and friends.

He was predeceased by his brothers John and Joe Malara, and his daughter Charlene.

His family honors both the difficult and the tender parts of his life, remembering him in their own ways and holding close the moments that brought connection, truth, and peace.
