Tribute
Elizabeth Ann Macdonald
December 14th 1954- October 20th 2018
Ann was loved by all. She will be missed by many dear friends close to home and around the world.
Throughout her life, she had many addresses, many homes and many friends.
Ann spent time in Australia, Fiji and New Zealand in the 1970s.
The people she met and the memories she kept were always close to her heart.
She grew up in Kamloops where she met her husband, who fell head over heels for her the moment he met her.
She spent time at Telus before becoming a practical nurse and later a unit clerk. She had many co-workers whom she considered friends and extended family in the NICU.
Ann had a genuine heart and listened to all that needed to be heard.
If somebody had a story to tell, then she would be the first one to find out.
She knew how to have a good time and when to have a good laugh
She took pride in her appearance, and always had a comb ready to fix a stray hair.
Ann will be remembered by her husband Ian, daughter Lauren (Nathan), son Tyson (Kalena), brother Jerry (Maureen), niece Angela (Mathew), nephews Derek (Claire), Brad (Stephanie), Great niece Liesl, and great nephews Skyler, Spencer and Brady. Many family members in Ontario and her extended loving family in the NICU.
Predeceased by her parents Harve and Betty Heathfield, brother Ken and nephew Mark.
Celebration of life will be held at the East Ladner Hall on November 24th 2018 at 1:30pm

From: Karen Jackson
Relation: We were life long friends and confidants.
Ann, my good friend, we were supposed to grow old together. This was too soon, too sudden and too sad.

My deepest sympathy for your loss . Ann was such a funny kind and compassionate person. She was so good at her job and always made the shift a better one to be working. Miss her dearly. RIP Ann
From: Laurel Coghlin-Newman
Relation: Work colleague
Losing Ann has left such a big hole in our work family. She would greet us at the beginning of the shift with her big smile and an eye roll. No matter what happened, we had her calm efficiency to fall back on. So grounded, so considerate, so caring , such a keen sense of humour. A lovely person through and through. Ian, Tyson and Lauren, thank you for sharing her with us. We are better for knowing her.
