Douglas Buker

Tribute
Predeceased by his parents, Wilbur and Doris Buker, brothers Robert (Marg), Dave (Marion), Howie, baby daughter Peggy, beloved granddaughter Jody McKimmon, and daughter-in-law Charlotte Buker.
Doug spent his life living in the embrace of Dewdney Mountain. He logged in the Harrison Lake area for 46 years. When he wasn’t working, he liked to fish and hunt in the local lakes, rivers, and mountains. The outdoors was his favourite place to be.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Joy, children Les (Pat), Jill, Wendy (Danny) Rieberger, Susan (Gord) Dowding, Barb (Wes) McKimmon, a special niece and nephew Cindy (Fernando) Goncalves, and Darren (Michelle) McDonald. He also survived by a brother Warren (April) Buker.
He will forever be remembered by his grandchildren, Addy (Dan) Rudd, Scott (Cas) McKimmon, Mitchell (Sarah) McKimmon, Shane (Cristal) Rieberger, Kevin (Stephanie) Rieberger, Karla Rieberger, Adam (Lauren) Dowding, Erin (Lawrence) Sandford, Brent (Alison) Dowding, Curtis (Brooklyn) Dowding, Jordana (Riley) Goncalves, Gage Goncalves, Aiden and Maddix McDonald.
He will be missed by his 18 great-grandchildren who were such a source of enjoyment in his life.
He is survived by sister-in-laws Thelma McDonald and Mary McDonald and many nieces and nephews.
Please join the family for a casual gathering at the Best Western in Mission on January 8th from 1-4pm.
