Girard, Doris Marie. September 24, 1929 – March 6, 2023.
Doris Marie Girard (nee Katsuno) born September 24, 1929, passed away peacefully at home on March 6, 2023. Doris is survived by her loving husband, William of 67 years; her six children, Regina, Michael (Tina), Angela (Dominik), Pauline (Dave), Thomas (Mary Anne), Theresa (Edwin), brother Tony (Mary), 25 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by three very young grandchildren: James, Siena Grace and Francis.
Doris lived in Maple Ridge ( Haney) BC, Aokemi Japan, Tashme BC, Greenwood BC, Toronto ON, Edmonton AB, Fort Smith NWT, Vancouver BC, and Mission BC.
Doris had two main loves in life; her faith and family! Special thanks to the Fraserhealth Mission Palliative Team and all the Mission Home Support staff who cared for Doris for many months as her health declined.
Vigil prayers will take place on Friday, March 17th at 8:00 pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 32330 7th Ave, Mission, BC V2V 2B9. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 18th at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mission, BC. Reception to follow in Church hall. Internment following the reception at Hatzic Cemetery, 34863 Cemetery Avenue, Mission, BC V2V 6Y6.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Westminster Abbey, Mission, BC. would be greatly appreciated.
