Denise Denise
Where have you gone, you have slipped away, we were still making plans of what we would do the next day. We knew what was at stake and we both kept a brave face. All the time both of us knowing it was fleeting moments we would likely chase. Time went so slow but went by so fast. Barely over one hurdle and another was cast. We were two new people in the last year gone by. We worked harmoniously ever living on the fly. You were a trooper committed and strong, being with you in those times I could not imagine anything could go wrong. You worked through the treatments always ready for the next, because that could be the one. We did not have the time to chat much as we were always on the run. Likely it was because we felt we were not to give in till all options were gone. Meanwell in the moment we struggled on and on. At times I know I seemed confused but it was never about you. I was absolutely certain you were doing all you could do. We were presented with many options which were almost never clear. Slowly we were being faced with news we did not wish to here. We buckled down harder and talked about it less. We each were trying to shelter the other is my best guess. Though ravaged by the disease in so many ways, you found it in you to give thanks for what you were helped with every day. We blew through forty years not realizing forever wont last. Quite recently I viewed many photos looking deep in our past. There are two things I realized again were your beauty and your smile. It should be no surprise to me as I was aware of your remarkable style. You have gone from me now while I write form this chair. Most of box of used Kleenex strewn every where. Come back to me for a moment if ever you can as I’m not going any where because I am your man! Missing you always,
Love you much.
Jeff
