Passed away unexpectedly on March 7, 2013 in Chilliwack, BC at the age of 61. He was predeceased by his parents, Douglas and Carolyn. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Joy; his children Jennifer (Jordie), Peter (Nao) and Andrew (Angie); his grandchildren Carolyn, Charlotte, Peter, William and Remi; his brothers Rob (Carol) and John (Sue) and his nephews and nieces. A cowboy at heart, Clyde excelled in the field of education and received national acclamation as an outstanding principal. In his retirement, he was able to pursue his varied passions and interests. He was a talented auctioneer and helped raise millions of dollars for local and international charities. A service celebrating his life will be held at Chilliwack Alliance Church on Thursday, March 14 at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to MCC or Sardis Doorway in Clyde's name would be greatly appreciated.

My sincerest condolences to all who knew Clyde. We met in 2007 in Toronto at the C.O.P event and hit-it-off immediately. What an insightful, creative and humorous character! Clyde was a perfect example of the leader that every school should have and we should all be very thankful for the difference that he has made in the lives of so many of his former students. Clyde’s investments in his students will continue to pay forward his legacy. I will continue to draw on his persistent optimism and hope.
