Tribute
In loving memory of Clive Brent Taylor
Born April 18 1946
In Bradford on Avon, England
Brent’s parents were Kenneth Roy Taylor, and Helen Minerva Taylor (nee Nord). Brent was the fourth child born to his parents, who were blessed with 6 children in total. Brent’s older brothers are Bud/Ken (Regine) children’s Jennifer, Sandy and Linda, Gary, Cliff (Pat), children’s Kathleen, Christopher, and Allyson, his younger brother Robin children Scotty, and also a sister who passed away soon after birth.
I believe Brent was around 4 yrs. old when his family moved to Canada. Both his parents worked very hard, and made sure their children had a good home, and proper upbringing. Above all Brent had a lot of respect for his father and mother. They thought Brent the values of life, starting with honouring God.
Most of Brent’s childhood memories were in Winnipeg Manitoba, in their family home at 610 Garwood Ave. He had many friends, and enjoyed playing hockey on an outdoor rink at Earl Grey School. As a young boy he delivered newspapers, which helped pay for some of his hockey equipment. After finishing school he got different jobs , but Brent became a excellent salesman and was a bearing specialist. He eventually worked his way up to become manager for NTN Bearing, and also Koyo Bearing.
At the age of 21 Brent got married to Marguerite Hnatiuk . Brent and Marguerite were blessed with 4 children. Gary Brent Taylor (Bobbi) children’s Joseph, Kristen, Courtney, and Kenneth. Rodney Charles Taylor, children’s Emily and Makenna. Joy Marguerite Evans (nee Taylor) (Chris) children’s Faith (Cody), and Nathan . Corine Yolande Meacher (nee Taylor) (Heather) children’s Jessica (Thomas) great grandchild Sophia, Austin, Tyler , Sadie .
There were also many aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that brought a lot for happiness and joy to our family.
In 1983 Brent and his family moved to British Columbia, where he and his family got to enjoy boating and fishing on the ocean. Our family also took up skiing and enjoyed many weekends skiing on Mount Baker.
In his later years after retirement Brent enjoyed bike riding which he did almost everyday. He road mainly on country roads and really enjoyed watching the birds. His favourite bird was the Eagle, which are quite plentiful in British Columbia. Brent had a favourite spot by the river where he sat on a park bench for hours watching boats go by . As he sat on the bench he enjoyed many conversations with people who stopped and talked with him. Most of all he enjoyed listening to the life stories of the homeless people, and realized they were just ordinary people who had hard luck in life.
On May 27, 2025, Brent went home to be with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. He passed away quickly of a heart attack and didn’t suffer long . Brent attended the Alliance Church in Mission BC, and went regularly every Sunday. At the age of 33 yrs Brent accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour.
Brent is survived by his wife of 58 yrs Marguerite, his son Gary (Bobbi) children’s Joseph, Kristen, Courtney, and Kenneth Taylor. His son Rodney children’s Emily and Makenna. His daughter Joy ( Chris) children’s Faith ( Cody) Nathan . His daughter Corine ( Heather ) children’s Jessica ( Thomas ) child Sophia, Austin, Tyler , Sadie .
Brent is survived by his brother in laws John Hnatiuk , and George Degane. His sister in law’s Annie Onichuk, Helen Carey, Patsy Hnatiuk, Patti Labbe, Yolande Degane, Patricia Taylor, Regine Taylor ( who passed away about 1 month after Brent ) . Plus many more nieces , nephews , cousins and friends.
Brent was predeceased by his parents Ken and Helen Taylor, his brothers Gary and Bud(Ken) Taylor. His little sister who passed away soon after birth. His mother in law and father in law Pete and Mary Hnatiuk. So Brent’s earthly journey is over and he is now enjoying his eternal home in heaven with his parents, his brothers and his sister who he never met on earth, also all his other family relatives and friends who passed on before him . But most of all he gets to meet Jesus, who made it all possible by dying on the cross for our sins.
