Tribute

Corrigan- Beverley Joan, 78, died on Nov. 14, 2017 at her home in New Westminster, B.C, of natural causes.

Beverley is predeceased by her long time companion, Mike, father, Fred, mother, Rose, and brothers Barry and Douglas.

Beverley leaves her nephews, Wil, Luke, and Max and her nieces, Sheena, Ayal, Sophie, and Abigail.

Bev was born on Feb. 4, 1939 in Port Alberni, B.C to Frederick and Rose Corrigan. The family would eventually reside, long term, in Vancouver, B.C.

As a young woman Bev was an avid swimmer and obtained her lifeguard status.She decided to move out on her own in her 20s and lived in Montreal for a period of ten years where she was employed as a nanny.

Bev loved listening to music and dancing, especially if it was Elvis. She loved to laugh, was the life of the party and, particularly loved bingo. She and her companion, Mike, were closely connected to the communities in which they lived, both in East Vancouver and New Westminster. One only had to walk through her neighborhood with her to see how well she was known; smiles and waves followed her.

Bev had a youthful spirit, even into her 70s, was up to date with the current fashion and was very proud of her pink hair. She always made sure her nieces and nephews had gifts at Christmas which always included scratch tickets and McDonald’s gift cards. Bev was also a pet-lover and cared for her several birds.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Beverley Corrigan on Saturday Dec. 9, 2017 at 2:30. 611 Blackford St, New Westminster.
