With great sadness the family of Barb Clease announce she passed away peacefully at age of 73 with her 3 children by her side at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital. She was born in Prince Albert SK.
She is predeceased by her mother Mildred Claughton, brothers Earl Claughton and Ken Walt.
Barb will be sadly missed by her family. Her daughters Lea-Ann, Jody (Mike), and son Greg (Jenn) and Ron; grandchildren Chelsea (Alex), Mackenzie (Lucas) and Ethen. All her Claughton/Walt family, nephews and nieces from Ontario and Victoria, Clease family in-laws and nieces and nephews as well as many extended family/friends.
Barb worked at Matsqui Institution since 1994 to 2021, retirement for her was boredom. The sassy, stern Mama, Barbie loved her second home at work where she bonded with many friends and created a great work family. A legacy left behind for sure as quoted by close friend from work.
Barb was always volunteering in many of events for the community while raising her family in Mission. She was involved with soccer associations, skating associations, school functions. She was mama to many kids growing up in the Mission community. Her volunteering and coordinating functions with the Legion and the Legion Ladies Auxiliary, last location being Aldergrove Branch. Barb coordinated many events, Christmas Markets, Paint Nights, Rock & Roll , Canada Day functions to name a few.
Most of all Barb was devoted Mom, grandma, auntie and true friend. Her grand children were her life’s happiness. She loved her family gatherings, bbqs, weddings, any reason to be together. A special thank to the Mitchell Family , her side kick Sheryl and all those she loved deeply.
