Tribute

Art passed away peacefully on August 20, 2018 at the age of 89. He was born near Avonhurst, Saskatchewan and moved to the coast in the mid 50s, where he met and married his sweetheart, Maude Hartkoorn in 1959 and they settled in Coquitlam, BC. Art retired from BC Hydro in the late 80s. He will be greatly missed by his daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Chris Tretick; his sister Mildred, extended family and many friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Surrey Memorial Hospital Palliative Care and the staff at Elim Village for their wonderful care during his final week and the two years leading up to his hospitalization. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Elim Village (Oasis Auditorium), 9025 160 Street, Surrey, BC. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Elim Foundation at 604-583-3546. Forever in our hearts but now reunited with mom.
