ADAM SINGER

OCTOBER 17, 1936 – May 16, 2024

The family of Adam Singer is sad to announce his passing on May 16, 2024, at The Christine Morrison Hospice, Mission, B.C.

Adam was pre-deceased by his parents, John and Elizabeth Singer and brother John. He is survived by his loving wife, Helen (Campbell), children Lisa (Daryl) Browne, Tim (Frances), Darren (Kristi), 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, brother, Henry, along with many nieces and nephews.

Adam was born near Paks, Hungary.  Being of Germanic decent, in 1946, the family was deported to West Germany. Shortly after arriving in Canada in 1950, they resided on Boundary Road (0 Ave.) B.C. After attending Peardonville School, Adam worked for BC Concrete.

Following Adam’s marriage to Helen in 1965, they operated a raspberry farm while Adam worked at the Abbotsford Gravel Sales until 1969. They then moved to Nicomen Island in 1969, where with hard work and determination, the vision of owning and operating his own dairy farm became his greatest achievement. Adam’s enjoyment was seeing the successful development of this farm, with the respect shown and received from members of both the agriculture and local community.  As their children arrived, he instilled a strong work ethic and encouraged them to pursue a higher education. Adam’s motto was “Success comes with hard work.”

After retirement, Adam and Helen moved to Sylvester Road, (Hatzic Valley) where many family and friends gathered in between the many travels that were enjoyed.

The family would like to thank Dr. W. De Klerk, the wonderful care managers, nursing staff and others who supported and cared for Adam.

A Celebration of Life will be held at McConnell Creek Hall, 35483 Hartly Rd., Mission, (Hatzic Valley), on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 1 PM.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to The Christine Morrison Hospice, Mission, or a charity of their choice in Adam’s name would be appreciated.
