Tribute
Mom was born on December 3, 1938 in Ruthilda, Saskatchewan and left her apartment in Mission, B.C. for the last time on April 15, 2017.
Mom spent her formative years in Ruthilda and Saskatoon and attended the Saskatoon Business College. She moved to Kamloops in the early 60’s and lived there until she moved to Calgary in 1982. She moved to New Westminster, B.C. in 1989 and retired to Mission, B.C. In 2002. In Kamloops, she worked for the Department of Fish and Wildlife, and in Calgary for the Calgary School Board. Upon her return to BC, she worked in the Assessment Centre at Douglas College in New Westminster until her retirement.
Mom loved being in nature, a good game of 31, feeding squirrels and birds, and living a life of solitude. We will remember her wit, the twinkle in her eye, and her amazing butter tarts.
Survived by her three children – Robert Backman (Tracy Graham), Barb Stack, and Kathy Campbell (Liam), and by her grandchildren – Conor and Sarah Campbell, and Katie Stack.
At her request, there will be no service. Go in peace, Mom, and know that you were loved.
