Brian William Saumer

June 23, 1963 - October 23, 2018

Tribute

Brian (56) of Mission, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Oct 23, 2018.  He is survived by his wife Bev, father Des, brother Don (Carol), sister Corei (Terry), and nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his mother Katherine and brother Ralph.  He will be missed by his family, extended family and many friends and coworkers.
Brian’s life revolved around dogs and cars.  He was a raceway enthusiast at many local and U.S. locations and he hoped to be back at the Mission track in the spring. His compassion for abused and neglected dogs led to adoption of up to 5 dogs at one time and if bylaws didn’t exist he would have had many more.
As per his request, no service/funeral will be held.  A celebration of life will be held at Newlands Golf and Country and club at 21025 48th Ave., Langley Nov 7th 11-2.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Brian’s name to Saints rescue in Mission www.saintsrescue.ca

It was with great shock and sadness that we received the news of Brian’s passing. In our dealings with Brian, we found him to be the consummate professional and he always provided the utmost service to our mutual clients. He will be sorely missed, and we would like to his family to know our thoughts are with them through what must be an extremely difficult time.

Godspeed Brian.

Brian, Brian, Brian; you’ve always been a gentleman full of surprises and you certainly succeeded this time, this is something we definitely were not expecting. I still haven’t learnt how to adult: who will help me buy my next car, my first home, and vet my future partner; oh and of course, put me in my place?! I miss you buddy. Taj xx

I had the great pleasure of working with Brian for about a year in Mission. Brian was awesome to work with, I always looked forward to our hilarious conversations at the end of a tiring 12 hour shift. He was amazing with clients and just a great guy to be around. I, like so many others, will miss Brian greatly. I am very, very sorry for his family and friends loss.

Even though I personally have only met Brian once as he visited our office to conduct some training with us I knew that he was a big fan of motor sports and the race strip
So we talked about this as one of his passions and we than looked forward to further visits from him.

Give my and Len’s condolences to his family from us please.

Rest In Peace Brian!

Please send my deepest and sincerest condolences to Brian’s Family. I am completely shocked and deeply saddened by this news. Brian was an absolute pleasure to work with. He would often be my last call of the day most of the time because he knew I would stay late on most days and our discussions were usually lighthearted. I will miss him greatly.
